A Living Tribute
Mount Vernon Memorial Park is a concept in beauty grounded in time-honored tradition. As one of the oldest and largest churches in Virginia, we are proud to bring to our friends and neighbors in Richmond a planned memorial park of significance. We invite you to stroll on paths alongside planted gardens, flowering shrubs and native trees reflecting brilliant hues of the season.
Celebrating the Seasons of our Lives
Unlike conventional cemeteries, Mount Vernon Memorial Park is an integral part of the Mount Vernon campus. Here, our loved ones are remembered and honored in surroundings where the seasons of our lives are celebrated -- where families gather with friends and rejoice at weddings and births.
A Place to Honor our Loved Ones
We offer a variety of burial choices. Developed in two phases, Phase I features four beautiful gardens. Three of the gardens (The Garden of Prayer, The Garden of the Good Shepherd and the Garden of Devotion) are designed to accommodate bronze markers. The Garden of Remembrance, designed to accommodate upright granite grave markers, honors Mount Vernon family members whose graves were located at the church's former site. They now rest here.
Rising from the heart of the memorial park, our mausoleum is designed as a monument to the dignity and memory of those who find their final resting place here. An in-ground Urn Garden is planned for the future to be in the front of the Mausoleum.

An Assurance of Trust
We realize that unfortunate circumstances may take loved ones at an early age. To ease the burden, Mount Vernon Memorial Park provides a child memorial plan for parents who have made prearrangements for themselves. Should a child under age 21 die, burial rights would be provided at no cost. In addition, should any law enforcement officer or fire-fighting personnel in the Richmond area die in the line of duty, Mount Vernon will offer the family a free space for burial.
We, like you, would rather not ponder death. It can be comforting to know that we and those we love will be memorialized with respect and dignity by people we trust. We invite you to consider the wisdom of advance planning. The advantages include lower costs, convenient terms, family participation and peace of mind. We are always available to help you with your cemetery arrangements.
